Nespresso small coffee machine Machines
If you're looking to make your coffee shop-style drinks at home, but don't have the luxury of a large countertop space, consider the Essenza Mini. It's the smallest model, but still produces great-tasting espresso.
All Nespresso machines require periodic descaling to eliminate mineral buildup inside the machine. You'll be informed when it's time to descale and they are usually easy to clean.
1. OriginalLine
OriginalLine is the classic line of Nespresso that uses hermetically sealed pods. They are the most affordable and can make espresso and coffee. They also have a wider variety of drinks and capsules than VertuoLine. However, if you're looking for larger drinks, you'll want to opt for the VertuoLine line instead.
The VertuoLine is a brand new line that utilizes more sophisticated techniques and specifications. It delivers better performance than the OriginalLine. They have a more diverse selection of brew sizes that include 0.85 ounces of ristretto, 1.35 ounces of double espresso, 5.8 ounces of lungo and 14 ounces Alto XL. They also offer a quicker process known as centrifusion, which rotates the pod at 7,000 RPM, allowing more water to pass through to ensure better extraction.
Alongside improving the technology, VertuoLine has also increased the number of capsules that are reusable and has introduced a more sustainable packaging system. They now use 80% recycled aluminum for their coffee capsules, and they are determined to increase the proportion of recycled and low-carbon aluminum that is virgin in the future products.
The Lattissima Pro is one of the top-performing nespresso machines on the market. It has a rapid heat-up time and an LCD display that can be customized settings. It has an effective steaming device to make café-quality milk and foam texture. It's not as compact as some other nespresso models, but it's got a tiny footprint and a capsule that can be removed to make it easy to clean.
2. Vertuoline
The Vertuoline is a recent version of the Nespresso lineup. It is the only machine to make espresso as well as coffee. It comes with a built-in frother for milk. This is a great choice for people who enjoy diverse black drinks but don't need to make them separately.
Vertuoline machines come with a distinct pod system from the OriginalLine. The pods are equipped with custom barcodes on the outside rim that the machines read to determine the size of beverage they're creating (ristretto or lungo, or cappuccino) and then automatically add the proper amount of water. This eliminates the need for an additional container of milk and makes it simpler to make the perfect espresso or coffee.
Vertuoline machines are better in terms of quality. They create crema that is more like the thick foam that is found in the coffee shop, as opposed to the lighter Crema produced by the OriginalLine machines. The OriginalLine machines have the best taste however, because they produce 19 bars of pressure in order to extract the flavor of the espresso ground.
The more modern VertuoLine machines also use the process known as Centrifusion to spin the capsules faster and more evenly than the Original Line machines. This increases the speed at which the water is infused and enhances the overall quality of the drink. It also permits the Vertuoline machines to use less heat which decreases extraction time and boosts the strength of espresso.
3. Original
This entry-level Original machine is a great option for those who don't have a lot of space or funds to invest in a bigger machine. It has a smaller water tank and capsule container yet it can still produce 19 bar of pressure, which is sufficient for the types of coffees and espressos that people purchase Nespresso machines for.
It has a minimalist, black design, and the top button is used to control all functions, from powering on to cleaning and making. This is a standard procedure in Nespresso machines. It makes them easy to operate and also to learn.
Another plus of this model is that it can be used with milk, and comes with a jug that can be used to make drinks with added foam. It also has 11 different milk temperature settings that allow you to alter the texture of your latte or coffee, and it can make both short and long cappuccinos and lattes.
It's easy to choose a drink with the buttons that are labeled, and the base of the holder's capsule has raised squares that control the amount of pressure it applies on each pod to create the desired size of beverage. This allows you to regulate the amount of pressure applied to each pod and also helps determine when the machine needs to descale. The machine can also be utilized with capsules from other brands, such as Dualit's Nespresso compatible capsules.
4. Creatista
If you're looking for a Nespresso machine that can make both espresso and milk-based drinks this model is for you. Breville (known in Europe as Sage) is the manufacturer of this new addition to Nespresso Creatista. It's the result of a partnership between two of the industry's most renowned names - Heston Blumenthal's Sage makes the machine, while Breville developed its highly efficient thermocoil heating system.

It has 11 settings, which allow you to alter the texture of your milk. You can also manually freeze your milk if prefer the traditional method.
The Creatista's fast heat-up time is another excellent feature. It can reach temperature in just 3 seconds, which is faster than other Nespresso machines. The machine's design is sleek and elegant with a stainless steel body with brushed finish that is stunning on any countertop. The high-resolution screen makes it easy to use the machine for setting up, cooking food and maintaining it. It's available in four different colors that include sea salt, black truffle damson blue, sea salt, and the stainless steel version. The Creatista measures 6.7 x 15 x 12 inches (WxDxH). It's the smallest Nespresso machine from the OriginalLine, so it should fit easily on any counter.
5. CitiZ
This espresso maker that is slim from Nespresso occupies less counter space than other models. It comes with a foldable tray that can hold larger mugs and glasses to prepare recipes. This is a great feature for smaller kitchens, and makes it easier to use the machine for taller recipes. It's also easy to re-create popular cafe dishes thanks to the extraction system of 19 bars and fast heat-up time.
The CitiZ Basic doesn't come with a milk frother. You can purchase one on its own or as part of the CitiZ&Milk Bundle. This option also includes the Aeroccino milk-steamer, so you can make creamy cappuccinos and lattes. This model can be used with reusable capsules however, they aren't included.
It has a large water tank of 1 liter as well as an empty container that can hold nine to eleven capsules. In contrast to the Pixie model, this one doesn't automatically remove used capsules following the brewing process; you must raise and lower the holder to get them out.
The machine is simple to use and the sleek design makes it easy to clean. This model comes with the option of descaling, however there's no indicator or button, and the process can be difficult to understand. Nespresso recommends using its own descaling method and running it through after 300 to 1,200 cups, depending on how hard your water is. The drip tray and the water tank can be removed for easy cleaning.

One of the major distinctions between this model and the earlier Lattissima Touch is that the version has 9 drink presets and only two of them are milk-based drinks. It doesn't have the option of choosing the milk texture you prefer for a specific recipe, but it is possible to do so on the Lattissima Pro.
This model comes with a reusable, washable milk container. It is not necessary to worry about purchasing fresh milk or buying an additional appliance for the machine. This container is easy to clean and can be filled with water and emptied into the sink in a matter of seconds.
Gran Lattissima's feature to save energy and rapid heating are two other great features. It has a large 44 oz water reservoir and it takes only 25 seconds to warm up.
