La Costa Canyon High School hosted the 16th Annual San Diego Union High School District (SDUHSD) Inclusion Basketball Tournament on November 14th. The event provided an opportunity for students with disabilities to participate in a fun and competitive basketball tournament.

Students from La Costa Canyon High School, Torrey Pines High School, Oak Crest Middle School, Diegueno Middle School, Carmel Valley Middle School, Carmel Valley High School, and Carmel Valley Middle School participated in the event. Carmel Valley Middle School, Diegueno Middle School, Carmel Valley Middle School, and Carmel Valley High School students attended the event. Students from Carmel Valley Middle School and Coastal Academy also participated in the event. The event included several basketball games, a group dance performance and the national anthem sung by Payton Lapidow. The event also recognized seniors from all inclusive teams.

SDUHSD Adaptive Physical Education teacher Kasey Galik thanked the LCC Basketball, Football, ASB, Cheerleading, Dance Team and Stampede Squad for hosting the event.
