Smithfield, R.I. — The Brown Bears women's basketball team extended their winning streak to three games with a 58-53 victory over the Bryant Bulldogs on Wednesday night. The win also marks the fourth consecutive road victory for Brown, the first time they have achieved this feat since the 2019-20 season.
Kyla Jones led the Bears with 18 points, while Isabella Mauricio added 14 points, all of which came in the second half. Mauricio also knocked down a season-high four three-pointers. Grace Arnolie contributed 11 points and a career-best nine rebounds, along with a team-leading four assists.
The Bears dominated the rebounding battle, led by Arnolie's nine boards. Ada Anamekwe and Gianna Aiello both grabbed eight rebounds.
Brown's defense held Bryant to just 39% shooting from the field and limited Bryant's leading scorer, Mia Mancini, to just one point. Mancini entered the game averaging over 15 points per contest. The Bears also forced 18 turnovers, with Alyssa Moreland leading the way with four steals.
