Jayden Danns scored his first goal for the national team for Liverpool jersey 2023 24, who beat Southampton 3-0 to qualify for the FA Cup quarter-finals. They will play Manchester United after Casemiro scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest. Chelsea qualified with a late goal to beat Leeds 3-2, while Wolves won 1-0 at home to Brighton.

Liverpool teenager Jayden Danns said his life felt like “a movie” after scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Southampton to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals against Manchester United jersey 2024.

The 18-year-old scored his first-team debut, a week after making his Premier League debut against Luton.

In seven days, Danns racked up three appearances, two goals and a trophy thanks to his appearance in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley.

Speaking to ITV after the FA Cup fifth round tie at Anfield, Danns said: “It’s a dream come true: “It’s a dream come true.

“I’ve supported the club since I was born. It’s amazing to come on and score at the Kop End, but I don’t feel like it’s real. I feel like I’m in a film.

“The second goal was pure joy, I didn’t feel like it could come to me, I was content with one goal. I lost all my composure.

“I don’t know what my dad is going to do now because he was in tears when I made my debut.”

Danns’ father is former Crystal Palace and Bolton midfielder Neil Danns.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities available to me at the moment,” added Danns.

These opportunities come as Liverpool suffer from injuries, prompting manager Jurgen Klopp to turn to young talent from the club’s academy.

Against Southampton, Klopp started six players aged 21 or under, including Lewis Koumas, who scored the first goal of the night on his debut.

Klopp said: “It was a special week for all the players: “It was a special week for all of us. I’ve been doing this job for a while and you don’t often get weeks like this. It was a tough game in a terribly difficult situation for us.

“After 15 minutes, the high pressing improved a lot, and we tried to sort out the midfield pressing at half-time. Soccer isn’t easy, and when you’ve got the wind in your sails, you’ve got to keep it. We got it back and scored two magnificent goals in the second half.

“Danns’ second goal was predictable, he has that flair. We saw it in the final. He had that chance and he was there to score that goal. It was a great game to watch,” said Klopp.

Harvey Elliott, who despite being 20 years old has already played over 100 times for Liverpool, praised the impact of Danns and the other emerging talents.

“It’s incredible. It’s easy to get carried away by the circumstances [of the Carabao Cup final]. It was an emotional and incredible day. It would have been easy to come here tonight and forget about the work we had to do,” said Elliott.

“Ever since this man [Jayden Danns] came on the scene this season, he’s been extraordinary.

Victory over Southampton means Liverpool jersey 2024 will meet rivals Manchester United in the next round at Old Trafford.

Commenting on the draw, Elliott said: “Another tough game: “Another tough game. The games don’t stop. We’ve got another tough game coming up, especially away from home, but we’re not concentrating on that right now.

“We have another tough game next weekend and we’re going to keep going game by game.
